Terms of Service

    Agreement to These Terms

By using FileMerger you agree to the terms set out on this page. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the service. These terms apply to the free web tool at filemerger.online, including the CSV, Excel and JSON merging tools and the accompanying guides. We may update this document as the service changes; continuing to use FileMerger after an update means you accept the revised version.

    Acceptable Use

FileMerger is provided for lawful data processing work. You are responsible for having the right to process any file you open with it. The following are not permitted:

    • Using the service to process data you are not authorised to access, or in breach of any confidentiality obligation you are subject to.
    • Attempting to reverse-engineer, decompile or extract the merging engine for redistribution as your own product.
    • Automated or scripted use of the web interface, including scraping the guides or driving the tool through a headless browser at scale.
    • Interfering with the hosting infrastructure, probing it for vulnerabilities without permission, or attempting to bypass rate limits.
    • Republishing our guide content as your own without attribution, or presenting FileMerger as a service you operate.

    Provided As Is, Without Warranty

FileMerger is offered free of charge and without any warranty, express or implied. We work hard to make the merging logic correct, but you remain solely responsible for verifying the output before relying on it. Always check row counts, column alignment and totals against your source files before using a merged file for accounting, reporting, regulatory submission or any other consequential purpose. Treat the tool as an assistant, not as an auditor.

    Limitation of Liability

Because all processing happens on your own hardware, the resources available to a merge are the resources your device has. We are not liable for browser crashes, incomplete exports, data loss or system instability arising from attempting to process files larger than your device can hold in memory. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability arising from your use of FileMerger is limited to the amount you have paid us, which for the free tool is zero. We may modify or discontinue the service at any time without notice.
